Lemme
One of the more monetised carts we've audited: a gift threshold, a Routine bundle, and per-item subscribe already run on Rebuy. So the exercise is sharp; where does a brand that already lifts the first order well add second-sale value? The answers are a margin-checked threshold, a cheap PDP entry point, and the untouched post-purchase window.
Lemme is a monetisation-forward store, so we'll skip the beginner notes. Rebuy already runs a gift-with-purchase threshold, a "Routine" bundle with stacked discounts, and subscribe-and-save on every cart line, and the reviews and clean-label proof are strong. The question isn't whether they upsell; it's where a brand this far along leaves second-sale money on the table. We walked the store as a monetisation audit, page by page, margin in mind, and the wins already banked called out honestly.
Home page

The hero sells a subscription discount before it says what Lemme is or which problem it solves. That's a top-of-funnel leak in monetisation terms, every visitor who bounces on a hero that doesn't land is a visitor the threshold, the bundle, and the post-purchase offer never get to work on. A softer front door shrinks the base that every downstream upsell is a percentage of.
Fix: Say what it is and who it's for first; move the saving below the promise. This isn't a branding note, it's an AOV one. Base conversion is the multiplier under every offer in this teardown, and it's the cheapest number to lift here.

The credibility layer is doing quiet monetisation work. Third-party testing, a clean-label free-from list, science-backed formulation, and 2,597 Okendo reviews at 4.7 stars all lower the risk of saying yes, and a buyer who trusts the brand accepts a larger cart, a subscription, and a post-purchase add far more readily. This is the foundation the upsells stand on.
Fix: Protect it. The AOV gains here are in placement and the post-purchase window, not in the trust the brand already owns. If anything, carry one proof line into the cart drawer so the confidence follows the buyer to the point where the biggest add-ons appear.
Product page

The PDP recommends complements ("you're gonna love these," a Lemme Chill spotlight), but the actions are "Shop Now" links that move the buyer to a new product page. In monetisation terms, that's the compounding leaking out the side; a cross-sell that restarts the journey usually loses the item in progress instead of adding to it.
Fix: Convert the related-product cross-sells to one-tap adds that keep the current item and drop the complement into the bag. For a gummy brand, the natural pairing (Debloat plus Purr, or Sleep plus Chill) is a clean basket-widener when it's one tap, not a new page.

Every path in the buy box is a full pack, a Routine bundle, or a subscription. There's no low-ticket impulse entry (a single-serve, a trial size, a cheap add) to lift a hesitant first order or nudge the basket without asking for a bundle commitment. For a considered first purchase, that missing cheap yes is a missing first step.
Fix: Add one low-ticket bump beside add-to-cart, sized well under the pack price, obviously useful and easy to accept. It shouldn't compete with the bundle; it should give the buyer who isn't ready for the Routine a small yes that still raises the order.

The cart drawer opens uninvited on the PDP, showing an empty bag and shop links before the buyer has acted. Beyond the friction, it eats the first-screen real estate where an add-on or a bundle nudge should sit next to the decision. The most valuable space on the page is being spent on empty cart chrome.
Fix: Hold the drawer until add-to-cart, and give the reclaimed first screen to the buy box plus one relevant add-on. A Baseline first-screen rebuild here isn't only cleaner; it opens the room the monetisation placements actually need.
Cart drawer

Subscription is the LTV engine here, but its number changes by surface: 35% in the hero, 20% in a home block, 15% in the cart control. For a subscribe pitch, that inconsistency is expensive; the buyer weighing recurring value can't tell what they're actually getting, and an unclear subscription offer converts worse than a smaller clear one.
Fix: Set one subscription rate and repeat it everywhere, tiering explained once if a first-order rate differs from the recurring one. Subscription revenue compounds harder than any single add-on, so the clarity of this one offer is worth more than it looks.

The gift-with-purchase threshold is the standout AOV lever, and it works: the drawer shows "You have unlocked a free Lemme Immunity Gummies GWP" with a full progress bar, alongside Routine bundle discounts and a savings total. This is real monetisation, live on Rebuy. The open questions are margin ones, not presence ones. A free $30 gift plus stacked bundle discounts can lift AOV while thinning the contribution margin on the order.
Fix: Keep the threshold; tune it. Set the bar just above current AOV so it pulls the median order up rather than rewarding baskets that already cleared it, and margin-check the free gift's landed cost against the discounts already stacked in the Routine bundle. The mechanic is right; the numbers are worth a spreadsheet.

Rebuy has the pre-purchase and cart layers well covered: threshold, bundle, subscribe. The gap is after checkout. There's no one-click post-purchase offer on the thank-you page, which is the single richest second-sale moment, since the buyer has paid, the card is on file, and an add there cannot cost the order that's already booked. For a store this monetised everywhere else, the empty post-purchase window is the clearest money left on the table.
Fix: Add an Upsellr one-click post-purchase offer on the confirmation page: one relevant gummy sized below the order, accepted on the stored card with no re-checkout. Because the sale is banked, it's pure upside with zero conversion risk, and it complements Rebuy rather than competing with it. Margin-check the offer against the bundle pricing the cart already applied.

What we'd fix
- 1Make the base conversion cleaner so more buyers reach the offers at all: the vague hero and the empty drawer that opens on arrival cost the traffic every upsell multiplies against.
- 2Give the buy box a cheap impulse entry point; every path on the PDP is a full pack or a subscription, with nothing low-ticket to lift a hesitant first order.
- 3Reclaim the PDP first screen from the auto-opening drawer, so an add-on has somewhere to sit next to the decision instead of below a cart interruption.
- 1Keep the gift threshold, but margin-check the free Immunity gift and set the bar just above current AOV rather than at a round number.
- 2Re-point the PDP cross-sells from off-page "Shop Now" links to one-tap consumable adds so they compound reorders, not page exits.
- 3Install a one-click post-purchase offer on the thank-you page; Rebuy owns the cart, but the richest second sale after checkout is still empty.
